U.S. President Donald Trump has renewed his criticism of major American media organisations, accusing them of misrepresenting the outcome of the 2025 U.S. airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities.

In a post shared on his Truth Social platform, Trump defended the military operation code-named “Operation Midnight Hammer” describing it as a decisive success that resulted in the total destruction of targeted sites.

According to him, the strikes dealt a significant blow to Iran’s nuclear programme, insisting the facilities were “completely obliterated,” despite ongoing debates about the extent of the damage.

Trump specifically targeted CNN and other prominent outlets, accusing them of downplaying the achievements of U.S. forces and failing to give credit to military personnel involved in the operation.

He also extended his criticism to The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and The Washington Post, claiming their reporting created a false impression that the United States was losing the conflict.

“The enemy is confused because they rely on these reports,” Trump said, alleging that sections of the media were biased against the U.S. and sympathetic to Iran.

The president maintained that the United States remains firmly in control of the situation, asserting that the country is “winning” despite contrary narratives in the press.

The remarks come amid continued global scrutiny of the airstrikes, which sparked tensions in the Middle East and raised concerns over possible escalation. While the administration has defended the operation as necessary to curb Iran’s nuclear ambitions, critics have questioned both its legality and long-term consequences.
