The Government of Cuba has strongly condemned recent military strikes by the United States and Israel on Iran, describing the attacks as a violation of Iranian sovereignty and a threat to global stability.
In a statement issued Saturday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba criticized what it called “irresponsible and deliberate aggression,” arguing that the operations undermine ongoing diplomatic efforts surrounding Iran’s nuclear programme.
“This irresponsible and deliberate aggression boycotts, for the second time, the efforts of international diplomacy in relation to the nuclear issue, which had been under negotiation,” the ministry said. It further accused Washington and Tel Aviv of endangering regional and international peace, warning that the consequences are already being felt across the Middle East.
Cuban authorities cautioned that continued military action could pull additional countries into the conflict, leading to “unpredictable consequences” for the broader region.
Havana also called on the United Nations Security Council to fulfill its responsibility to maintain international peace and security. The ministry urged the United Nations General Assembly to mobilize the global community to restore peace with urgency and determination.
The statement adds to growing international reactions as tensions between the U.S., Israel, and Iran escalate, heightening fears of a wider regional confrontation.
