An opinion poll conducted by the Centre for Democratic Opinion and Research (CDOR) has highlighted Dr. Ibraheem Adekunle Luqman’s growing political profile in the race for the Osun Central Senatorial seat ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The assessment identifies Adekunle, who is contesting under the platform of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), among the major political figures attracting attention as preparations for the senatorial election gather momentum.

According to the poll findings, Adekunle’s expanding grassroots appeal, growing political structures and rising acceptability across the district are significant factors shaping his political prospects.

His increasing political presence across Osun Central is also drawing attention to the growing competition for the senatorial seat, with different political actors positioning themselves ahead of the 2027 elections.

The assessment also features Barrister Adekunle Adegoke, popularly known as K-Rad, and Alhaji Ganiyu Olaoluwa Asejere of the Accord Party, alongside Adekunle.

The findings suggest that grassroots mobilisation and growing political acceptance are becoming important factors in the unfolding contest, as aspirants intensify efforts to establish their presence and consolidate support across the district.

Adekunle’s participation under the APM platform adds another dimension to the political contest, particularly as his expanding grassroots structures and growing public visibility continue to feature in discussions about the district’s political future.

With the 2027 general elections approaching, political activities across Osun Central are expected to intensify as aspirants deepen consultations, engage stakeholders and mobilise supporters in their bid to secure the senatorial mandate.
