A supporter of the Chairman of Gwagwalada Area Council, Hon. Kasim Mohammed, has alleged that the appeal filed after the election tribunal judgment was intended to frustrate the administration of the council chairman.
In a Facebook post, Muhammed Isah Hassan claimed that those who proceeded to the Court of Appeal did so because they feared that Hon. Kasim Mohammed’s performance in office would weaken their political influence in Gwagwalada Area Council.
According to Hassan, the decision to challenge the tribunal’s judgment was driven by political calculations rather than the desire to pursue justice. He alleged that the objective was to prevent the chairman from continuing his administration.
Despite the legal and political challenges, Hassan stated that Hon. Kasim Mohammed has continued to carry out his responsibilities, attributing the chairman’s resilience to what he described as divine grace and the support of the people of Gwagwalada.
He further expressed confidence that the administration would continue to deliver development projects and improve the welfare of residents across the Area Council.
Hassan also called on residents to continue praying for the chairman, asking Allah to grant him wisdom, protection, and strength in the discharge of his duties.
He prayed that peace, unity, and sustainable development would continue to prevail in Gwagwalada Area Council, while urging that any actions capable of hindering the council’s progress would not succeed.
