Casemiro will leave Manchester United when his contract expires at the end of the season, marking the end of a period in which the Brazilian midfielder played a key role in stabilising the club’s midfield.
The midfielder joined United with a strong reputation for winning and leadership. During his time at Old Trafford, he made 96 appearances across all competitions, scoring 10 goals and providing five assists. United described him as a serial winner and thanked him for his contributions in red so far. The club said it hopes to finish his time at the club on a high, as the season continues and the team aims to secure positive results in its remaining fixtures.
