Bandits have reportedly invaded Aujarawar Alkali community in Gezawa Local Government Area of Kano State, abducting the village head, Alhaji Ahmad Yakubu Ahmad, popularly known as Ruwata.
The traditional ruler was reportedly taken away by the armed attackers during a night raid on Thursday, September 17, 2026, leaving residents of the community in fear and uncertainty.
According to information circulating after the incident, the assailants stormed the community heavily armed and succeeded in gaining access to the area before making their way to the residence of the village head, where they reportedly abducted him.
The circumstances surrounding the attack, including how the armed men gained entry into the community and reached the traditional ruler without being intercepted by security personnel, remained unclear as of the time of filing this report.
