The founder of Prophetic Victory Voice of Fire Ministry, Pastor Amos Isah, has been remanded in custody after pleading not guilty to multiple charges in an ongoing case involving the alleged sexual assault of a 14-year-old church member.

The case resumed on Thursday before Justice Modupe Osho-Adebiyi at the FCT High Court in Gwarimpa, Abuja.

According to court proceedings, the 39-year-old cleric pleaded not guilty to an eight-count charge bordering on alleged rape, sexual exploitation, coercion, emotional abuse, gross indecency, and abduction under provisions of the Child’s Rights Act and other applicable laws.

The court ordered that the pastor remain in custody pending the submission of his earlier bail records.

According to the charges before the court, the teenager identified by initials to protect her identity as a minor alleged that the pastor lured her into a section of the church premises in Gwagwalada in May 2025 and sexually assaulted her.

Court documents also alleged that after the incident, the cleric gave the teenager money to buy medication and threatened her against speaking about the matter.

Additional charges accused the pastor of exploiting and unlawfully detaining the minor in circumstances considered harmful to her welfare.

The matter was subsequently adjourned until June 30, 2026, for continuation of hearing.

The case has continued to attract public attention following allegations by members of the victim’s family that the pastor had allegedly engaged in similar conduct involving minors in the past. Those claims, however, remain allegations before the court.

The pastor was initially arrested in June 2025 after a complaint was reportedly filed by the teenager’s father, leading to an investigation by the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID).

As of the time of reporting, the court has not made any findings regarding the allegations, and the defendant remains presumed innocent unless proven guilty through due process of law.
