Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), emphasized the importance of fleeing from sexual temptations, regardless of one’s age or spiritual status. Speaking at the Ministers and Workers Conference of RCCG Americas 1, Adeboye used the example of the biblical figure Samson to illustrate the dangers of succumbing to lust.

He mentioned that despite his age and spiritual anointing, he remains vigilant and continues to avoid situations that could lead to temptation. Adeboye remarked, “Somebody says, at your age, why are you still running? I run faster than before because the closer you get to the finishing point, the more careful you must be.”

He further stressed that anointing does not make one immune to temptations, citing Samson’s downfall due to his entanglement with Delilah. Adeboye advised, “You see that woman smiling at you everywhere you go, she is there smiling, and she is not your wife, run.”

By sharing his personal vigilance and Biblical wisdom, Adeboye urged both men and women to be mindful of lust and to actively avoid situations that could lead to sin.
