Indeed politics is a game of throne, it could be fair to some extent but not 100% fair. The struggles aims at capturing power or retaining power whichever. Those seeking to capture power as against the ruling party are referred to the opposition not minding whether they are minorities or majorities.

The quest to capture state power is all involving, it is primarily about the people’s choice and secondarily about understanding the laws governing power.

Power is the display of forces coordinated or uncoordinated and it takes authority to checkmate the excesses of power. Power in the hands of the irrational is a disaster, it is like coking a gun and putting it in the hands of a drunkard. You can image the consequences.

The people of kogi state have experienced an administration for two terms. It is now time for the electorates to vote their preference, judging by their performance index. Development is visible even to the blind, the activities of government either gears towards alleviating the sufferings of the people or compounding their state of woes.

It is the maize on fire that can testify to the intensity of the heat not the hand motivating the charcoal to blow hot. The electorates in Kogi state generally are the maize who can testify for or against the charcoal of leadership in the state for been ruthless or empathetic.

The political atmosphere in Kogi state shouldn’t raise the dust of unnecessary agitations, tantrums and name callings. The few elites cashing out the state resources needs such atmospheric conditions to strive.

Our struggles is to fight our common enemies of insecurity, banditry, unemployment and lack of quality infrastructure instead of falling back to the old choruses that has benefited only a few.

It is time for Kogi state to set the pace that leadership is not a peculiarity of an ethnic group but the peoples choice prompted by qualitative track records of performance.

Rotational leadership provides the opportunity for heterogeneous growth but leadership based on majority has been a sponsor of backwardness and all imaginable cultures of an ossified leadership patterns.

Within the period of eight years, Adoza has provided his people with the best medical facilities almost next to non in Nigeria and empowering his people educationally with a university of science and technology and a state of the art nursing and midwifery school.

Yet, Kogi East has produced leadership for many years in the state but aside the outstanding performance of Prince Abubakar Audu, it is difficult to point any substantive and meaningful development within Kogi East except the empowering of thugs and the infiltrations of ghost workers into the services of the state and local government area council to put food alone on the table of our people without substantive empowerment that will define the future.

I fear Kogi central, has laid the foundation to project their people into all sector of the civil service in the state because education holds the key to the future. You gave them fish but he get gave them the instrument of fishing.

Let’s come home and ask ourselves what the Igala agenda represent, is it business as usual to further strengthen a divisive and corrupt system that siphon state resources unaccountably or is it an agenda to attempt the future without clarity and a functional blueprint.

Is our cry for the return of power simply premised on hunger or the lack of justice for our people, is it a motivation by the benefactors of government in kogi East to raise a revolt among the people to leverage on, just like they leveraged to sell out their people.

This is a time for critical questioning, we need leadership that is future projected not a leadership that can’t see beyond the moment. I may not be wrong if I say Adoza is a calculative leader some worth corrupted by the same people who out of sheer greed sold out their people like Judas Iscariot.

Any unity without an objective maybe a scam in disguise, the same set of thieves that got us stranded are now the one carrying placards to push for an agenda when the very villages they came from languishes in penury and abject poverty. What an agenda without an agenda. Could this be witchcraft or what.

Let’s return to the path of accountable leadership that entrenches growth and rapid development not leadership of Alhaji NA GO, HAJIA -HAJIA, the world is advancing let’s fight collectively to get ourselves out of this dungeon of shame, lack and penury imposed by senseless leadership patterns.

Good MORNING Nigerians and kogites.
