The Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly, Olemgbe, announced on Tuesday that four members have been suspended due to their involvement in an impeachment plot. The suspended lawmakers are Samuel Otuibe from Ahiazu-Mbaise, Henry Agbasonu from Ezinihitte-Mbaise, Chidiebere Ogbunikpa from Okigwe, and Dominic Ezerioha from Oru-West.

Olemgbe stated that the decision to suspend them was made during an executive session. Additionally, he informed that all standing Committees assigned to the suspended members have been reassigned.

During the plenary session reported by Punch, the Speaker also made minor adjustments to the standing Committees. Some of the suspended members who were present during the announcement declined to comment to reporters.
