Olawale Dare, a bodyguard attached to Seyi Tinubu, has accused Nigerian sex therapist and Kayanmata seller Hauwa Saidu, popularly known as Jaruma, of threatening to expose their alleged sexual encounter and accuse him of rape unless he paid her ₦100 million.

Dare made the allegations in a statement recorded by the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre on October 8, 2026, and exclusively obtained by SaharaReporters.

Kayanmata refers to a traditional category of products associated with women’s intimacy, sexuality and relationships, particularly in northern Nigeria.

In his statement to the police, Dare, who said he had worked with Seyi Tinubu since 2022, narrated how he allegedly met Jaruma at a lounge in Abuja in November or December 2025 through a mutual friend identified as Faizal.

According to Dare, he and Jaruma left the lounge for his residence after their meeting, where they allegedly had sexual intercourse. He claimed that Jaruma disclosed her identity as a Kayanmata seller the following morning and asked him to invest in her business.

Dare told investigators that Jaruma subsequently requested between ₦100 million and ₦200 million, allegedly promising to return as much as ₦700 million from the proposed investment.

He said he rejected the proposal because he did not have the money she requested.

Dare further alleged that Jaruma later told him she was experiencing a spiritual problem and asked him to recommend an herbalist or an Islamic cleric who could assist her.

He said he could not provide either contact but suggested a Celestial Church where she could receive counselling.

According to his account, Jaruma subsequently complained that her ATM card was not working and asked him for cash, prompting him to give her between ₦30,000 and ₦40,000.

Dare alleged that their relationship deteriorated after their encounter, claiming that Jaruma subsequently threatened to inform his employer, Seyi Tinubu, about their sexual relationship unless he paid her ₦100 million.

“That she is going to inform my boss about what we had together and I must pay her 100 million naira,” Dare wrote in his statement to the police.

He further alleged that Jaruma threatened to accuse him of rape and claimed she had evidence from 12 women who would testify against him.

Dare told investigators that he did not understand why Jaruma wanted to disclose their alleged sexual encounter to his employer.

He also explained that he did not initially report the alleged threats to the police because his friends advised him to ignore the matter.

According to him, he believed reporting the incident could give Jaruma publicity, particularly because she had not yet released the videos he claimed she threatened to publish.

The allegations contained in Dare’s statement also touch on the separate police investigation involving Rayan Ghassan Kamal, an Abuja businesswoman who works as Seyi Tinubu’s personal assistant.

Jaruma has been accused of cyberstalking Kamal and her employer through social media publications containing allegations about their relationship.

In several posts, Jaruma reportedly claimed that Kamal had been in a relationship with Seyi Tinubu for three years and that he had established a business for her, among other allegations.

However, Dare denied conspiring with anyone to cyberstalk Kamal or providing Jaruma with the businesswoman’s personal information.

He told the police that he knew Kamal through his work with Seyi Tinubu and described their relationship as that of colleagues.

“No, I did not conspire with anyone to cyberstalk her,” he stated.

Dare also claimed that he had blocked Jaruma after their first encounter and maintained that he possessed evidence to support his allegation that she had been cyberstalking him.

“I have the prove that Ms Jaruma was cyber-stalking me all those time and I am ready to provide it to the police when requested,” he said.

Jaruma was subsequently charged with two counts of cyberstalking over alleged TikTok publications targeting Kamal and her employer, Seyi Tinubu, according to a charge sheet dated October 23, 2026.

The charge sheet does not list Dare as a defendant in the case.

The allegations concerning the ₦100 million demand, the threatened rape accusation and the alleged sexual encounter remain separate from the two cyberstalking charges detailed in the charge sheet.

SaharaReporters had earlier reported that Jaruma had been in police custody since Monday over social media publications relating to the dispute involving Seyi Tinubu and Kamal, whom she identified as his girlfriend.

Documents obtained from the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre in Abuja reportedly showed that Jaruma was granted administrative bail under conditions that could prove difficult to meet.

The bail conditions, dated October 23, 2026, required two sureties: a federal civil servant on Grade Level 15 or above and a business owner with landed property in Abuja.

Sources told SaharaReporters that the conditions were deliberately made difficult to prevent her release before the weekend.

Dare, the bodyguard attached to Seyi Tinubu who was linked to information Jaruma was accused of sharing, appeared at the Cybercrime Centre on Monday but was not detained, according to the information supplied.

The allegations against Jaruma concerning Dare’s account of their alleged sexual encounter and the ₦100 million demand have not been established as proven facts. The account represents Dare’s allegations as contained in his statement to the police.
