The Media Desk of the Special Adviser on Recreational and Sports Development has clarified the official designations and responsibilities of key offices within the Gwagwalada Area Council Administration, urging media aides and supporters to accurately represent their principals in line with their official appointments.
The clarification followed the Chairman’s address during the International Youth Day celebration, where he formally introduced dignitaries and officials present at the event.
According to the Media Desk, the Chairman distinctly recognized the SSA on Youth Development in his designated capacity and separately introduced Barr. Babatunde Akintade Nelson as the Special Adviser on Recreational and Sports Development.
The Media Desk noted that the Chairman’s clear distinction between the two offices leaves no room for ambiguity regarding the responsibilities attached to each position.
“The Chairman distinctly recognized the SSA on Youth Development in his designated capacity and separately introduced Barr. Babatunde Akintade Nelson as the Special Adviser on Recreational and Sports Development,” the Media Desk stated.
It further explained that sports and recreational matters remain the responsibility of the Office of the Special Adviser on Recreational and Sports Development, while youth-related matters fall within the mandate of the SSA on Youth Development.
The Media Desk therefore called on media aides, supporters and other stakeholders to ensure that public communications accurately reflect the official appointments and responsibilities of their respective principals.
It stressed that respecting the boundaries of the various offices would promote harmony, professionalism, accountability and effective service delivery within the administration.
