The race for the leadership of the FCT Youth Network (FCT-YN) gathered momentum on Thursday as prominent FCT indigenous activist, Comrade Adamu Muhammad, popularly known as Dobiza Dobiza, officially purchased the nomination form to contest for the position of FCT Youth Network Leader.
According to a statement issued by Sani Usman Zakariyya, popularly known as ManUtd CrownPrince, Adamu obtained the nomination form on Thursday afternoon in the company of his supporters and political associates, becoming the first aspirant to complete the process since declaring his intention to contest three days earlier.
The development is seen by supporters as an early demonstration of his preparedness and commitment to seek the mandate of indigenous youths ahead of the FCT Youth Network election scheduled for August 29, 2026.
The statement described Adamu as a long-standing advocate for the rights and development of indigenous communities in the Federal Capital Territory, noting that he has spent more than a decade championing issues affecting residents of Gwagwalada Area Council and other indigenous communities across the FCT.
It further stated that through advocacy, community engagement and youth mobilization, he has consistently promoted policies and initiatives aimed at advancing justice, inclusion and sustainable development.
According to the statement, Adamu has also played active roles in encouraging youth participation in governance, defending the interests of indigenous communities and supporting various humanitarian and community development initiatives across the FCT.
His supporters believe his leadership has inspired many young people to become more involved in public affairs and community service while promoting unity, peace and progress among indigenous youths.
With the August 29 election drawing closer, the purchase of the nomination form marks the formal beginning of Adamu’s campaign for the FCT Youth Network leadership. His supporters described the aspiration as a movement built on competence, experience, integrity and a commitment to advancing youth development within the Federal Capital Territory.
Chronicles Reporters reports that Adamu Muhammad is the first aspirant to publicly purchase the nomination form since the commencement of activities for the 2026 FCT Youth Network election.
