The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has commenced the upload of results from the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Area Council chairmanship elections to its Result Viewing (IReV) portal.
A total of 68 elective positions were contested in Saturday’s polls, comprising six chairmanship seats and 62 councillorship positions across the six Area Councils.
As of 7:35 p.m., monitoring of the portal showed the following uploads:
Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC): 847 results uploaded out of 1,401 polling units
Kwali Area Council: 75 out of 201 polling units
Kuje Area Council: 115 out of 262 polling units
Gwagwalada Area Council: 204 out of 338 polling units
Bwari Area Council: 255 out of 485 polling units
Abaji Area Council: 42 out of 135 polling units
The upload process is expected to continue as collation progresses across the territory.
Further details are anticipated as INEC completes the electronic transmission of results to the IReV portal.
