
The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has approved the posting of new Police Public Relations Officers (PPROs) and Public Relations Liaison Officers to selected commands and formations of the Nigeria Police Force as part of efforts to strengthen communication, improve public access to credible information and enhance engagement with the media and other stakeholders.
The Nigeria Police Force announced the new postings, which cover Zone 5, Zone 11 in Osogbo, the Benue State Police Command and the National Cybercrime Centre.
Under the new appointments, Superintendent of Police Johnson A. Doghudje has been posted as the Police Public Relations Officer for Zone 5.

Similarly, Superintendent of Police Ojedele Olanrewaju Tunji has been posted to Zone 11, Osogbo, as part of the Force’s efforts to strengthen public relations and improve communication between the police and the public.

The Inspector-General has also approved the posting of Deputy Superintendent of Police Orchia Adndongu to the Benue State Police Command.

Meanwhile, Deputy Superintendent of Police Imah Unwana Victor has been posted to the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre (NPF-NCCC).

According to the police, the postings are intended to improve the flow of information between the Force, the media and members of the public while ensuring that reliable and timely information about police activities is more accessible.

The Force said the new officers would support efforts to improve media relations and facilitate communication between their respective formations and the public.
