The Coordinator of Atiku Abubakar in Abuja, Zuba Musa, has inaugurated the Thunder Coalition in Gwagwalada Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), with popular grassroots figure Dobiza Dobiza appointed to lead the coalition across the council’s 10 wards.

The inauguration, according to a Facebook post by Nura Haruna, took place in Dobi, the hometown of Zuba Musa, bringing the political coalition into the grassroots political landscape of Gwagwalada.

The newly inaugurated Thunder Coalition is expected to establish its presence across the 10 wards of Gwagwalada Area Council, with Dobiza Dobiza entrusted with the responsibility of leading its activities and coordination across the council.

The development signals a new political mobilisation effort in Gwagwalada, where grassroots alliances and political movements continue to play an important role in shaping the area’s political direction.

Although details of the coalition’s immediate political agenda, membership structure and operational plans were not provided in the Facebook post, its inauguration suggests an intention to build a coordinated political platform across the council’s wards.

The coalition’s emergence also places Dobiza Dobiza at the centre of a new political structure whose future influence will depend on its ability to organise supporters, engage communities and establish a clear political direction.

Declaring confidence in the coalition’s future, the message associated with the inauguration stated: “Thunder Coalition has come to stay, by God’s grace.”

The statement conveys the confidence of the coalition’s supporters in the sustainability of the new political organisation and its ambition to establish a lasting presence in Gwagwalada.

Chronicles Reporters understands that further details regarding the coalition’s leadership structure, policy objectives and planned activities across the 10 wards are yet to be made public.

The newspaper will continue to monitor developments surrounding the Thunder Coalition and its activities in Gwagwalada Area Council.
