The nominated Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Media, Muhammed Isah Hassan, has called for a new era of collaboration and innovation in Gwagwalada’s media landscape, stressing the need for a collective effort to strengthen and promote local talent.
Speaking with Chronicles Reporters, Hassan said the media space in Gwagwalada requires a “proper revolution” driven by unity, creativity, and shared purpose among media practitioners.
He appealed to content creators, entertainers, journalists, bloggers, digital influencers, photographers, videographers, and other media personalities across the area council to embrace the Gwagwalada Media Association, describing it as an initiative designed to foster cooperation and advance the interests of the local creative and media industry.
According to him, the association will provide a platform for networking, professional development, talent promotion, and collective advocacy aimed at showcasing Gwagwalada’s rich pool of creative talents to wider audiences.
Hassan noted that collaboration, rather than competition, is key to building a vibrant media community capable of creating opportunities for young people and projecting the positive image of Gwagwalada.
He urged all stakeholders in the media and entertainment sectors to support the initiative, expressing confidence that a united media community would contribute significantly to the social, cultural, and economic development of the area.
The proposed Gwagwalada Media Association is expected to bring together professionals and aspiring creatives under a common platform to encourage innovation, mentorship, and sustainable growth within the local media ecosystem.
