FORMAL DECLARATION OF INTENT TO CONTEST THE JECHIRA FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY SEAT IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

With immense gratitude to God and a profound sense of duty to the esteemed people of Jechira Federal Constituency, I,Chief Hon.Arc. Manasseh Aker Vishigh,(Iwanger I Konshisha)do hereby formally declare my intention to seek the nomination of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), and subsequently contest the seat of the House of Representatives for Jechira Federal Constituency.

My decision is borne out of a passionate commitment to translate the potentials of our constituency into tangible reality through impactful, people‑centric legislative representation and holistic development.

The time for renewed hope, focused leadership, and sustained progress is now. My aspiration is not an abstract concept; it is grounded in a demonstrable commitment to service and quantifiable interventions that have already touched the lives of our people, even as a non‑elected politician. These interventions are built upon the pillars of sustainable development.

I have been deliberate in launching foundational projects that unlock economic potential and improve quality of life. Some of my interventions include:

• Feeder‑roads rehabilitation through community mobilisation across various communities, ensuring seamless movement of agricultural produce and boosting rural commerce.
• Solar‑powered boreholes and stand-alone street lights in underserved communities, drastically improving access to clean water and mitigating water‑borne diseases.

I firmly believe that the greatest asset of Jechira is its people, particularly the youth. My developmental philosophy prioritizes empowerment and knowledge acquisition. Through scholarship and bursary schemes, I have worked relentlessly to achieve this goal.

Addressing the immediate needs of the vulnerable and strengthening community resilience remain central to my efforts. I will not be deterred by challenges encountered in the process.

Through the Aker Vishigh Care Foundation, I have:

• Supported primary‑healthcare centers with pharmaceutical supplies, improving maternal and infant care outcomes.
• Distributed improved seedlings and fertilizers to local farmers over the past years, boosting yield and food security.
  Organised outreach programs for the elderly and people in crises prown areas.

I pledge to transition from being an interventionist to a legislation architect. My mandate will focus on:

• Legislative advocacy, sponsoring, and supporting bills that attract federal projects, create special economic zones, and protect the interests of Jechira’s farming communities.
• Ensuring transparent and effective utilization of federal allocations meant for the constituency.

To maintain constant communication with my constituents, I will establish fully functional, accessible constituency offices and implement a quarterly town‑hall meeting structure.

In conclusion, the journey ahead requires unity, dedication, and a proven hand at the helm. I humbly call upon all stakeholders—party leaders, delegates, youth organizations, women groups, religious bodies, and elders—to join hands with me in actualizing this vision for a prosperous and visible Jechira Federal Constituency.
