Cryptocurrency entrepreneur Linus Ifejirika, widely known as BLord, has aligned himself with the movement led by activist Omoyele Sowore following his release from detention.
The development came on April 21, 2026, after a viral video showed the moment BLord met Sowore shortly after regaining his freedom, expressing appreciation for the activist’s role in his case.
Speaking in the video, BLord revealed that he had no prior relationship with Sowore before his arrest but said the activist intervened after learning about his situation, which he described as intimidation.
“I have never met Omoyele Sowore, but when he heard, he had to step in,” he said, crediting the intervention with helping to fast-track his bail process.
BLord also disclosed that his bail hearing, initially scheduled for a later date, was brought forward following legal efforts linked to the activist’s involvement.
In a symbolic gesture, the entrepreneur joined Sowore’s “Revolution Now” movement after receiving a beret, declaring himself part of the group.
BLord had earlier been remanded at the Kuje Correctional Centre over allegations including impersonation and related offences, reportedly tied to a dispute with social media critic Martins Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan.
The incident underscores the growing influence of activism and public figures in legal advocacy, as well as the increasing role of social media in shaping high-profile cases in Nigeria.
