President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has sworn in Taiwo Oyedele as Nigeria’s Minister of State for Finance, reinforcing his administration’s economic management team.
The ceremony took place at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, where Oyedele took the oath of office before senior government officials.
Oyedele, a tax expert and chairman of the Presidential Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms Committee, is expected to support ongoing efforts to improve revenue generation, expand the tax base and strengthen financial transparency.
In his new role, he will work with key agencies to drive fiscal reforms aimed at stabilising the economy and boosting sustainable growth.
His appointment is seen as part of the administration’s broader strategy to enhance Nigeria’s public finance system and attract investment.
