Nigerian singer Crayon has accused his former record label, Mavin Records, of failing to pay royalties earned from his music during his time with the company.
Crayon, whose real name is Charles Chibueze Chukwu, made the allegations in a series of social media posts on Monday, March 16, 2026. In the posts, which were later deleted, the singer claimed he generated significant revenue for the label but received little or no payment.

The artist, who joined the label in 2019, also directed strong criticism at Don Jazzy, the founder of Mavin Records, accusing the music executive of owing him outstanding royalties.
In an emotional remark, Crayon linked the financial dispute to personal hardship, blaming the situation for contributing to his late mother’s death. He further alleged that delayed payments had been used against him and hinted that he would reveal more details about his experience with the label.
As of the time of this report, neither Don Jazzy nor Mavin Records has issued an official response to the allegations.
