Reliable sources close to the family who spoke to Chronicles Reporters early Tuesday morning confirmed that the politician reportedly went missing around 9:30 pm on Sunday under unclear circumstances, raising fears of a possible abduction.
According to another source close to the family, the situation took a more alarming turn when suspected abductors allegedly contacted the victim’s wife, claiming responsibility for the kidnapping. The caller reportedly identified themselves as Fulani men and stated that they were already in the bush heading to their destination, adding that they would call again once they arrived to disclose the ransom demand before abruptly ending the call.
Sources further revealed that since the call, all attempts to reach the former candidate through his phone numbers have been unsuccessful, deepening fears among residents and political associates.
The development has sparked widespread panic within Gwagwalada and surrounding communities, with many residents expressing concern over growing insecurity and uncertainty about who could be targeted next.
