Tragedy struck in Idanre, Ondo State, as violence linked to the All Progressives Congress (APC) congress reportedly claimed three lives, including a relative of the state party chairman. The incident has thrown the party’s local structure into mourning and heightened tensions within the area.
Among those confirmed dead is Ralph Adetimehin, said to be the brother of the Ondo State APC Chairman, Engr. Ade Adetimehin. Family sources disclosed that he was fatally shot during the unrest that broke out amid disagreements surrounding the congress proceedings.
The source also alleged that two other individuals were killed in the violence. While their identities were not immediately confirmed, one of the victims was described as a man who drove a Toyota Venza. However, security authorities have yet to release an official statement detailing the circumstances of the killings.
