
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has unveiled its adjusted 2026 timetable for nationwide congresses and the party’s national convention, outlining activities from ward level to the national stage. The schedule, released from the party’s National Secretariat at Buhari House, Wuse II, Abuja, was drawn in line with provisions of the APC Constitution.
According to the timetable, membership e-registration for ward and local government congresses will run from January 31 to February 8, 2026. Purchase and submission of forms for ward and local government positions is slated for February 4 to 9, while screening of aspirants will take place between February 11 and 12. Ward congresses are scheduled for February 18, followed by local government congresses on February 21, 2026.
At the state level, the APC said the sale of forms for state executive positions will take place from February 22 to 25, with state congresses fixed for March 3, 2026. For zonal activities, purchase and submission of forms will run from March 12 to 16, while zonal congresses across the six geopolitical zones will hold on March 25 in designated centres, including Ibadan, Enugu, Rivers/Cross River, Kaduna, Gombe/Bauchi, and Nasarawa.
The party also announced that its National Convention will be held from March 27 to 28, 2026. Ahead of the convention, forms for national offices will be available, with the nomination form for the position of National Chairman pegged at ₦10 million. The nomination fee for Deputy National Chairmen and National Secretary was fixed at ₦7.5 million, while expression of interest forms for all national positions cost ₦100,000.
In addition, the APC disclosed fees for ward, local government, state, and zonal offices, with amounts ranging from ₦5,000 at ward level to ₦1 million for state chairmanship positions. The party noted that female aspirants, youths, and persons with disabilities will pay only the expression of interest fee and 50 per cent of the prescribed nomination fees for any position.
