The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has inaugurated a 50-member Policy and Manifesto Committee as part of efforts to develop a credible and people-oriented governance agenda.
The committee was approved by the party’s National Working Committee and endorsed by the National Chairman, Senator David A. B. Mark, GCON.
According to the party, the committee comprises seasoned Nigerians drawn from politics, academia, public service, civil society, and the private sector, bringing wide-ranging experience in governance, economic management, social development, security, and democratic reforms.
Former Edo State Governor and ex-APC National Chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, will serve as Chairman of the committee. Professor Pat Utomi is the Deputy Chairman, while Salihu Lukman will act as Secretary.
The ADC said the committee is mandated to produce a clear and realistic policy framework that captures the aspirations of Nigerians and positions the party as a viable alternative for national leadership.
The committee will be formally inaugurated on Monday, February 2, 2026, at 12 noon, at the ADC National Secretariat, Abuja.
In a statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, the party expressed confidence that the committee would deliver a manifesto anchored on competence, integrity, and national consensus.
