Renowned British rapper Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, is at the center of a legal controversy after being accused of raping a 13-year-old girl in the year 2000 alongside Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs.
The allegations first emerged in October, naming Combs as the sole defendant in a federal lawsuit filed by an anonymous plaintiff identified as “Jane Doe” in the Southern District of New York. However, the lawsuit was amended on Sunday to include Carter as a defendant as well.
Attorney Tony Buzbee, representing the accuser, has declined to comment on the allegations, leaving the public with unanswered questions about the details of the case.
Carter has categorically denied the accusations, describing them as “idiotic” and accusing Buzbee of unprofessionalism.
