In light of escalating tensions between Israel and Hezbollah, China has advised its citizens currently in Israel to evacuate without delay.

The Chinese embassy in Israel issued a statement on Sunday, noting that the situation along the Israel-Lebanon border is highly volatile, marked by frequent military confrontations. “The security situation in Israel remains severe, complex, and unpredictable,” the embassy cautioned, urging citizens to either return home or find safer locations as soon as possible.

Despite calls for calm from the international community, both Israel and Hezbollah threatened to escalate their cross-border hostilities on the same day.

This escalation follows an Israeli airstrike on Friday that targeted a Hezbollah position in southern Beirut, resulting in the death of Ibrahim Aqil, the leader of Hezbollah’s elite Radwan Force.

Earlier in the week, explosions in Lebanon, attributed to Israeli actions, led to significant destruction of communication equipment and resulted in 39 fatalities along with nearly 3,000 injuries.
