Guaranty Trust Holding Company Plc has announced a delay in the opening of its branches as it transitions to a new suite of Finacle Core Banking Application Systems. The company stated that the process has taken longer than initially expected.
As a result of this delay, all banking channels, including physical branches, which were set to open at 9:00 a.m. today (Monday), will now open at 12:00 noon.
In a statement shared on its official X account, the bank expressed its understanding of the inconvenience caused by this disruption. “We recognize that you depend on our services for important financial transactions, and we sincerely apologize for any trouble this may cause,” the statement read.
GTB has asked for customers’ continued patience during this transition period and encouraged anyone in need of assistance to reach out to their contact center.
The announcement concluded, “Following our recent update on the transition to our new and improved Finacle Core Banking Application Systems, we want to inform you that the process has taken a bit longer than anticipated. Consequently, all Banking Channels, including our Branches, will now open at 12:00 noon today.”
