Passengers on a Max Air flight from Yola to Abuja faced significant delays after the aircraft’s tyres were damaged.

One passenger shared their harrowing experience with TG News, describing it as one of the most difficult situations they had ever encountered and expressing gratitude for their safety.

A Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) official, who requested anonymity, stated that plans were underway to transport four replacement tyres from Abuja to Yola Airport. According to the official, a plane from Yobe will deliver the tyres to Yola tonight for the necessary repairs.

The official reassured that the situation was under control and there was no reason for concern.

The aircraft, which was set to depart at 5:15 pm, encountered tyre issues during pre-takeoff procedures, affecting 113 passengers on board.

Attempts to get comments and confirmation from FAAN on Sunday night were unsuccessful.
