It takes beyond words of mouth and motivation to get a country like Nigeria, working. President Tinubu, hit the ground running from day one by his words “fuel subsidy gone”

This seemingly harmless words altered the trajectory of the usual ways of politics in Nigeria. Nigerians were amazed at such audacity and many attributed it to the influence of drugs.

I think Tinubu underestimated the powers that be, he envisaged Nigeria as Lagos but early enough he was reminded of the multicultural and multiethnic diversities of this enclave.

Today we are left in the dungeon to suffer the consequences of an unguided statement “FUEL SUBSIDY GONE” This is purely a case of imposition aimed at further impoverishing the people.

Today staying alive in a country called NIGERIA requires a daily testimony of gratitude to the OMNIPOTENT.

Charles whose stomach during the previous administration was graciously protruded has unbelievably flattened. Only the gym of Tinub’s administration can make this happen. How excess cholesterol disappeared from his overwhelming skinfolds and body mass index has remained a mystery.

Charles’ story pictures the case with many Nigerians who are now walking skeletons because the cost of food items in the market in unbelievable.

Even agbado, is no longer food for the common man on the street, yet we have a government, a government who cares less about the welfare of her workers.

Today, minimum wage cannot afford to buy a bag of rice in Nigeria. Yet the government are deliberating endlessly the issue of the minimum wage like a woman pricing onions in the market. What a shame.

Crime has become an industry in a country reputed to be the giant of Africa. Thieves break into homes today not to chart away valuables but to chart human beings because collections must be made as ransom to redeem their victims. Hmmm.

Japa mood is now fully activated, the English proverb NO PLACE LIKE HOME seems a myth. The song we sang back in the days expressing our preference for home is now left in the ashes of history.

OH MY HOME, OOOH MY HOME, WHEN SHALL I SEE MY HOME, WHEN SHALL I SEE MY NATIVE LAND, I WILL NEVER FORGET MY HOME.

Today the boys they Japa, the white man’s country where they are treated as slaves and second class citizens is now the dream place of every young man.

Oh God help naija, strange men have taken over the seat of power, the thieves are now the ones determining the sharing formula of our national treasure.

The poor are left to their fate, oooh! gari has now upgraded to the status of a big man’s food. What therefore becomes the fate of the poor man. Hmmm.

May God help Nigeria. Just thinking out loud. Good evening Nigerians.
