In Lagos State, two men have been arrested for allegedly posing as police officers to carry out armed robberies.

A video that surfaced online shows these suspects being presented by authentic members of the Nigeria Police Force, with their weapons laid out as evidence.

The narrator in the video reveals that the suspects were dressed as police Inspectors, using their fake authority to extort and rob unsuspecting residents of Lagos.

“With full uniforms, wearing Inspector rank, Lagos has become something else,” the narrator commented.

As of now, the Lagos State Police Command has not issued an official statement on the arrest of these men, who are suspected of both robbery and impersonation of police officers.

This incident has sparked concerns about who the suspects are and what actions the police will take next.

In a similar case reported by SaharaReporters in November 2022, some officers, including Inspectors Saratu, Joy, and Shehu, were accused of selling fake appointment letters to constable applicants at the Force Headquarters in Abuja, demanding significant amounts of money in return.
