Bashir Hadejia, alleged mastermind of the #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protests, has confessed to being part of a plot to destabilize Nigeria. Following his arrest by police on charges of treason, subversive activities, trans-border gun-running, and other transnational crimes, Hadejia has implicated several prominent figures in the conspiracy.

Hadejia was found with documents that pointed to his involvement in impersonation, including tracking information of high-profile individuals and an international passport from the Republic of Vanuatu, valid until September 14, 2030.

A source close to the investigation revealed that Hadejia named Nigeria’s Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal Dare, and Jackson Ude, the publisher of PointBlank News, as co-conspirators in the plot. Additionally, he identified former National Security Adviser, General Aliyu Gusau, as the chief sponsor of the movement. Gusau is believed to be a key figure in the intelligence network, coordinating with Badaru and Lawal in their efforts to destabilize the country.

Hadejia’s arrest followed intelligence reports linking him to smuggling large quantities of weapons and gold bars, reportedly traced back to the Central Bank of Libya. His confession not only incriminated Gusau, Badaru, Lawal, and Ude but also implicated other sponsors, primarily from northern Nigeria, as well as politicians from the southern part of the country.

During interrogations, Hadejia admitted that his group sponsored numerous youths who participated in the recent #EndBadGovernance protests in Kano, Kaduna, Jigawa, and Abuja. He also confirmed that his group was responsible for distributing Russian flags seen during the demonstrations.

Earlier reports had identified Hadejia, Badaru, Lawal, and Ude as key figures behind the instability in Nigeria. Jackson Ude, a fugitive residing in the United States, has been accused of attempting to deflect attention from the group by blaming other public officials for the presence of Russian flags at the protests. His claims were later exposed as a diversionary tactic meant to shield the true masterminds, including Minister of Defence, Badaru Abubakar, and Governor Dauda Lawal Dare.

A source commented on the situation, saying, “The trio of Badaru, Lawal, and Hadejia are the real terrorists aiming to bring down Asiwaju’s government. Their involvement with a junta leader from another country and the sponsorship of protesters to fly Russian flags in Nigeria is an act of treason that cannot be ignored by the military and law enforcement agencies.”
