The removal of fuel subsidy is the best decision taken by the Tinubu’s led government. This singular act will restore sanity to the petroleum sector as a lot of fraudulent activities have been perpetrated under the guise of fuel subsidy.
The removal of fuel subsidy will afford the government some overages to channel to other sectors of our economy. The monopoly of oil marketers will be grounded and the oil sector will be open to competition hence overcoming the days of deliberate artificial fuel scarcity dictated by some oil marketers. This could be the long awaited alternative to beat down the cost of fuel without necessarily putting strains on the government.
Thanks to the Dangote refinery, which we believe should serve the fuel needs of the people at minimum cost while temporarily been complimented by the activities of the oil marketers with licenses to import petrol pending when the government places a final ban of fuel importation.
Fuel subsidy removal is the best decision ever, the current hardship is the opportunity cost for a better Nigeria. Thanks to the audacity of the ASIWAJU led government to quickly shorten the ultimatum of the subsidy removal following his Inauguration as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
We only hope the days ahead will be beautiful as we continue to pray for the success of this government. It will be too early to throw tantrums. I see a new Nigeria.
