The provisions made by the Ministry of Arts, Culture and Creative Economy are outlined in its 2024 budget, signed by President Bola Tinubu in January this year. The budget includes N3.7 billion allocated for “research and development.”

Additionally, the budget features N98 million designated for a “Nigerian pavilion” at the next Cannes Film Festival in France. The ministry also set aside N150 million for an “art culture information desk” at the Abuja International Airport and N26 million for miscellaneous expenses, such as refreshments and publicity.

The Ministry of Arts, Culture and Creative Economy was established by the current administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to foster growth in the creative economy.
