The Lagos State Police Command announced that Haberb Okikiola, also known as Portable, will only be eligible for bail upon presenting a trustworthy surety.
Portable was apprehended on Tuesday morning due to his failure to settle the outstanding N14 million from the N27 million G-Wagon car he purchased from a car dealer. While he had paid N13 million, he declined to pay the remaining N14 million.
Benjamin Hudenyin, spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, confirmed Portable’s arrest to Vanguard, stating that he would remain in police custody until he provides a dependable surety for his release. Despite the passage of time, there was no indication of his imminent release on bail as of 8:30 pm.
