A family in Kaduna State has appealed to members of the public for financial assistance to secure the release of three relatives who were allegedly abducted on October 1, 2026.
The victims were identified as Mr Emmanuel Paul, his nephew David, and a nine-year-old boy. According to the family, the three were abducted at about 1:00 a.m.
The family said the kidnappers initially demanded a ransom of N500 million but have since reduced the demand to N30 million.
However, the family said it was struggling to raise the ransom, adding that the amount collected so far was less than 20 per cent of the demanded sum.
Anita, a sister of members of the affected family, said relatives were making difficult efforts to raise the money and appealed to individuals and organisations to support the family financially and through prayers.
“We are doing our best to raise something substantial, as the money we have raised as a family here on the ground is not even 20 per cent of what they are asking for,” she said.
The family described the situation as painful and frightening and appealed to well-meaning Nigerians, individuals and groups to contribute towards efforts to secure the victims’ release.
It urged members of the public to show compassion and support the family during the difficult period, expressing hope that the three victims would return home safely.
The family provided an Access Bank account for members of the public who wish to contribute to the fundraising effort.
The appeal concluded with prayers for the safe release of Emmanuel Paul and David and for strength for their relatives as they continue efforts to secure their freedom.
