A bus branded with the logo of the City Boy Movement, a support group associated with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, was involved in a motor accident along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, very close to Ibadan, Oyo State, on Tuesday morning.

The crash triggered panic among motorists and passersby as the damaged bus was left along the busy expressway.

According to eyewitnesses at the scene, the bus, which was believed to belong to the Tinubu support group, was travelling along the expressway when the accident occurred.

Following the crash, passersby and other motorists were seen making frantic efforts to rescue occupants of the bus and clear the wreckage from the road.

The incident also resulted in traffic building up along the affected stretch of the expressway as motorists slowed down around the crash scene.

As of press time, the exact number of people who may have been injured in the accident had not been officially confirmed. The extent of damage sustained by the bus was also yet to be established.

Men of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and other emergency responders were reportedly contacted and were expected to arrive at the scene to assist with rescue operations and manage traffic around the affected section of the expressway.
