The Executive Chairman of Gwagwalada Area Council, Hon. Kasim Mohammed, has congratulated and commended King Ejiofor, a resident of Giri, for emerging victorious at the King of the Ring Boxing Championship.

King Ejiofor paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman at his office, where he presented his championship belt to Hon. Kasim Mohammed in recognition of the achievement.

Speaking during the visit, the Chairman described the boxer’s victory as a remarkable accomplishment and a source of pride not only to the people of Giri but to the entire Gwagwalada Area Council.

Hon. Kasim Mohammed praised King Ejiofor for his hard work, discipline and determination, saying the achievement highlights the abundance of sporting talent and potential among young people across the Area Council.

The Chairman urged the champion to remain focused and disciplined, while encouraging him to use his success as an inspiration to other young people aspiring to excel in sports and other fields of endeavour.

He further reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to youth development and sports, stressing the importance of creating opportunities for young people to discover, develop and maximise their talents.

The Chairman’s commendation comes as King Ejiofor’s latest achievement continues to attract recognition within Gwagwalada, particularly from his home community of Giri.

The visit and presentation of the championship belt were contained in a statement issued on Wednesday, August 20, 2026, by Muhammad Isah Hassan, Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Gwagwalada Area Council.
