The political landscape of the Gwagwalada Area Council has taken a significant turn as Executive Chairman, Hon. Kasim Ikwa, moved to strengthen his administration with the nomination of Mohamed Isah Hassan as Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Media, a strategic appointment expected to redefine the council’s public communication and information management.
Mohamed Isah Hassan’s nomination formed part of a comprehensive list of political appointments recently transmitted by the Chairman to the Legislative Arm of the Gwagwalada Area Council for screening and confirmation in line with the provisions establishing the FCT Area Councils.
The development signals the beginning of a new administrative phase for the Ikwa-led government as it assembles a team expected to drive governance, improve service delivery and enhance public engagement across the council.
Beyond Hassan’s nomination, the list features several other key appointments, including Hon. Agu Okechukwu Samuel, nominated as Council Secretary, alongside other political aides expected to occupy strategic positions within the administration. The nominees are scheduled to appear before the legislative council for screening before their appointments are formally confirmed.
