As part of activities marking the 2026 Eid-el-Kabir celebration, philanthropist and community development advocate, Alhaji Abdul-Quadri Temitayo Giwa, distributed exercise books, school bags, sweets, biscuits, and fruit juice to 600 pupils across the Osun West Senatorial District on May 27 and 28.
The educational support initiative was aimed at promoting learning, encouraging academic excellence, and sharing the joy of the Sallah season with children.
Beneficiaries, parents, and community members commended the gesture, describing it as a demonstration of Giwa’s commitment to education, youth development, and the welfare of the younger generation.
In continuation of his Eid-el-Kabir engagements, Giwa paid a Sallah homage to the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi, at his palace, where discussions focused on community development, youth empowerment, and the progress of Iwoland.
Thereafter, Giwa accompanied the monarch side by side to the Iwo Central Mosque for the Jumu’ah prayer alongside other dignitaries and Muslim faithful.
The Oluwo commended Giwa for his sustained contributions to education, youth empowerment, and community service, describing his interventions as impactful and worthy of emulation.
