The Government of Ghana has intensified efforts to protect its citizens abroad, with an additional 600 Ghanaians registering at the Ghana High Commission for evacuation from South Africa amid growing concerns over their safety and well-being.

Reaffirming its commitment to the protection of Ghanaian nationals wherever they may be, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs declared that the government would never compromise when the safety, dignity, and welfare of its citizens are at stake.

According to the Ministry, the latest wave of registrations reflects both the urgency of the situation and the confidence Ghanaians have in their government’s willingness to act decisively in times of need.

“When the safety and dignity of Ghanaians are at stake, the Government of Ghana does not compromise or dither,” the Ministry stated.

The government also praised the courage, resilience, and patriotism demonstrated by Ghanaians affected by the situation, describing their determination as a source of national pride.

“I am immensely proud of the resilient spirit of Ghanaians,” the statement added.

Authorities have assured citizens that all necessary measures are being taken to facilitate a safe and orderly evacuation process while ensuring the protection of those affected.

The development underscores Ghana’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding its people beyond its borders and responding swiftly whenever their security is threatened.
