Suspected bandits have kidnapped all passengers aboard a commercial Sienna bus following a fresh attack along the Ejule–Aloma Road in Ofu Local Government Area of Kogi State.

The incident, which occurred earlier on the day of reporting, happened when armed men intercepted the vehicle while it was travelling along the busy highway. Local sources said the attackers blocked the road, forced the bus to a halt, and led all the occupants into the surrounding bush.

Details of the abduction were still unclear as of press time, with residents saying the operation was swift and left commuters stranded and terrified. No official statement had been released by security agencies in Kogi State, and it remained uncertain whether rescue efforts had begun.

Following the incident, residents and regular users of the Ejule–Aloma route have been urged to avoid the road and remain vigilant, as fears grow over the deteriorating security situation in the area.

The attack is the latest in a string of highway abductions in Kogi State, where travellers have increasingly become targets of armed groups, raising fresh concerns about safety and the ability of security agencies to secure major roads.
