Gwagwalada politics has entered a new era of reckoning as Manasseh B.P launched a scathing attack on Hon. Abubakar Jibrin Giri and Usman Zakari (aka ManUtd CrownPrince) over the looming 2027 House of Representatives election. In a social media tirade, Manasseh described Giri as a failed chairman and criminal, dismissing Zakari’s recent endorsement as “total foolishness” and a sign of political blindness.

“Angulu son say I support PDP 😂 why I go support PDP on a local level when I know billionaires in PDP at national level. APC Gwagz is too foolish, because for Gwagz na Zombie illiterate without sense full APC,” Manasseh wrote, openly ridiculing the local APC structure and its supposed leadership. The post portrayed the council as weak, directionless, and dominated by opportunists incapable of delivering credible leadership.

Manasseh did not hold back in his assessment of Zakari, the political activist whose recent post passionately endorsed Abu Giri for the House of Representatives:

“I read ManUtd CrownPrince post about Abu Giri this morning. It made me give up on the guy… sorry to say but my guy don turn total Zombie. I dey 100% sure even Abu Giri don’t know him or regard him. To me, it is foolishness to advocate House of Rep for Abu Giri.”

The veteran activist turned political critic described Zakari’s backing as naïve, misguided, and disconnected from reality, implying that blind loyalty and sentimental endorsements will not rescue a candidate with a checkered record of failure and alleged criminality.

According to Manasseh, Giri’s past performance as chairman was marked by mismanagement, betrayal of public trust, and incompetence, painting a portrait of a leader whose ambitions exceed his track record. “A failed chairman with a criminal taint should not even dream of representing Gwagwalada at the national level,” Manasseh asserted, emphasizing that political titles without delivery are worthless, and that past misdeeds cannot be erased by endorsements or party theatrics.

The post also highlights the growing tension between local political structures and individual influence. Manasseh’s criticism extends to APC leaders and supporters who, in his view, prioritize noise, propaganda, and social media influence over performance, credibility, and accountability. “Zombie illiterate politics is what Gwagwalada is drowning in. Those who failed repeatedly now parade themselves as political landlords, yet results betray their impotence,” he said.

This confrontation exposes a bitter reality in Gwagwalada politics: loyalty is selective, betrayal is common, and political relevance depends on actual delivery, not titles or affiliations. By directly attacking both Zakari’s judgment and Giri’s past record, Manasseh has made it clear that the 2027 House of Representatives race will be a battlefield where principle, integrity, and competence clash against cronyism, nostalgia, and opportunism.

In conclusion, Manasseh’s declaration serves both as a warning and a rallying cry: Gwagwalada voters will no longer tolerate failed leadership or criminality dressed in political ambition. The streets, the wards, and the polling units are watching—and history will not forgive those who gamble with the people’s trust.
