A disturbing video making the rounds online shows a supporter of Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, physically assaulting a young man who was accused of making derogatory comments about the governor.
In the footage, the alleged loyalist—whose identity remains unknown—can be seen repeatedly slapping the victim while issuing verbal threats, visibly enraged over the supposed criticism.
“You insulted Abba—your mother, your father! If I ever hear or see you around this place insulting Abba again, I will deal with you,” the man yelled during the confrontation.
Clearly incensed, he continued berating the youth: “What kind of donkey are you? You said someone attacked you, and your response is to insult Governor Abba?”
Throughout the clip, another voice can be heard narrating what had transpired. The narrator confirms that the young man had allegedly spoken ill of the governor, prompting one of his supporters to respond with physical violence.
“He insulted Abba, and one of the governor’s loyalists slapped and beat him,” the narrator stated.
