It’s the lack of information that makes rat hunters go after rats with sticks, just set the bushes on fire and watch the rats scramble for safety.

It’s normal to judge the cruelty of the hunters chasing rats with sticks but the hunters who adopted the most cruel form of hungering rats by setting the bushes on fire may not suffer the scrutiny and criticism of the public.

both methods are geared towards eliminating the rats but in one case, the hunters are seen chasing the rats with sticks while in the other scenario, the raging flames ignited by the hunters is seen doing the chasing while the hunters having fun of seeing the rats playing to the gallery.

The formula is, set the bush on fire and watch the heat or the flames forcing the rats out of their hideouts. It was Alhaji Farouk-Jibrin Okpanachi who said, loose the rope binding the stick of brooms together and watch the elements complete the job of disintegration. I totally agree with his assertion, that’s how the umbrella was punctured that led to a mass exodus to the broom.

I sense a cold war in the political landmarks of Nigeria, is unfortunate the camp of the incumbent is loaded with administrative genius but political zeros while the cabal of the north may not be fluent in speaking through the noise but posseses the most dogged political calculators.

Politics in Nigeria, we know is way beyond quoting the statistics of Bangladesh and their responding G.D.P in relation to development index.

As we saw making the round last week on the Internet, how obedient was seen somewhere in the core North seating on the ground and eating from the same plate with the almajiris.

This is a political calculation to balance the scale of power tilted by the combined forces of religious enthusiasts and pentecostal rascals, as seen in the last election.

Now the rope binding the broom sticks together as become the target. Will the force of alliance with the south east balance the political equilibrium from power spillage to the North. I leave political analyst to brainstorm.

If the fire engulfed by some political evangelist in the North is not properly managed now, the fire may soon be too large to combat.

The current Managers of the broom are devoid of political sophistication but no doubt good administrators when it comes to speaking queens English but they lack the depth of the Nigerian politics.

The wind is blowing and the grasses are dancing. Rivers state politics speaks more to what the media is projecting. Why a state of emergency with an executive order of suspension. This is where we see another leg over but I leave the political analyst to clear the air.

Elections has started and structures are put in place to capture power. Truly politics is not for the weak.

Good evening Nigerians and happy Lent and Ramadan to my Christian and Muslim brothers and sisters.
