Suspected kidnappers have abducted five people, including a mother and her daughter, during an attack on Odo-Eku, a community in Isin Local Government Area of Kwara State.

The incident reportedly occurred around 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday when the gunmen stormed the homes of their victims.

Elder Ogundeji, the Odofin of Odo-Eku, confirmed the attack during an interview on Wednesday. He explained that the victims were members of the Hausa community residing in Odo-Eku for farming purposes.

“The abducted individuals include a woman, her daughter, another woman who was visiting them, and two men,” Ogundeji said. “The police have just left Odo-Eku. We took them to the scene of the incident, and they assured us they would investigate and work towards rescuing the victims.”

Attempts to reach the spokesperson of the Kwara State Police Command, SP Toun Ejire-Adeyemi, for comments were unsuccessful, as she did not respond to calls or messages.
