Three men have filed lawsuits against American rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs, accusing him of rape and sexual assault. The lawsuits, filed in New York State Supreme Court, allege that the incidents occurred between 2019 and 2022.
The plaintiffs, who remain anonymous and are represented by attorney Thomas Giuffra, claim that the 55-year-old music mogul drugged their drinks and assaulted them while they were unconscious. According to court filings, one man alleges he was recorded during the assault and later paid in cash, while another claims Combs’ associates threatened him into silence. A third plaintiff accuses Combs and individuals connected to his label, “Bad Boy Records,” of taking turns assaulting him.
Giuffra described the allegations as part of a pattern, stating, “He would spike their drinks, knock them out, and when they woke up, they’d find him assaulting them.” These accusations add to a mounting list of claims against Combs, many of which span decades and include similar allegations of assault and drugging.
Combs is currently being held at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center following his September arrest on federal charges, including racketeering, sex trafficking, and prostitution. Prosecutors allege that he used his music and business empire to orchestrate drug-induced sexual exploitation, even directing and recording some encounters. While Combs has pleaded not guilty to these charges, he has been denied bail on three occasions. His trial is scheduled for May.
The three plaintiffs, all identified as John Doe, are seeking unspecified damages and jury trials. They express fear for their safety, with Giuffra emphasizing, “They’re concerned someone connected to Combs could harm them.” The lawsuits also name Combs’ companies, including Bad Boy Entertainment Holdings and Sony Music Holdings, as co-defendants.
Combs’ legal team has dismissed the allegations as baseless, calling them “lies” and threatening to pursue legal action against the plaintiffs’ attorneys.
One John Doe, who claims to have been a longtime employee of Combs, alleges that in February 2020, the rapper drugged him during a meeting at a Manhattan hotel about unpaid wages. The plaintiff says he lost consciousness and later woke up to find Combs assaulting him. He also alleges that Combs and his associates threatened him into silence afterward.
