In a frightening incident in Betul, Madhya Pradesh, two schoolgirls narrowly escaped an abduction attempt on Friday after realizing they were being taken in the wrong direction by a man posing as a helpful motorcyclist. The girls, Kanchan and Ankita, who are both Class 12 students at Baitulbazar Girls School, were offered a ride by the man on their way to school. Shortly after getting on his bike, the man sprayed a drug on them, causing them to feel dizzy.

The incident occurred around 11 a.m. in Sohagpur village. According to reports, the girls became suspicious when the biker started heading toward Baitulbazar instead of their school. Despite their requests for him to stop, the man ignored them, prompting the girls to take drastic action.

Sensing danger, both Kanchan and Ankita bravely jumped off the moving motorcycle, injuring themselves in the process. The kidnapper sped away before any bystanders could intervene. Fortunately, passersby quickly noticed the girls’ distress and flagged down a nearby ambulance to provide them with first aid. They were later transferred to the district hospital, where they are currently receiving further treatment for their injuries.

ASP Kamla Joshi, who visited the girls at the hospital, is leading the investigation into the incident. The police are actively searching for the unidentified man involved in this attempted abduction.
