The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has announced a scheduled preventive maintenance operation at the Ondo 132/33kV Transmission Substation. The maintenance is set to take place on October 15, between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.
In a statement issued on Monday, Ndidi Mbah, the General Manager of Public Affairs for TCN, clarified that the maintenance work, which will last five hours, is necessary to remove the wave trap and line isolator located along the 132kV line. The goal is to enhance transmission efficiency and reliability.
As a result of this work, the Benin Electricity Distribution Company (DisCo) will temporarily be unable to supply power to customers connected to the Ondo and Okitipupa 33kV feeders.
However, TCN assured residents that bulk electricity supply would be restored promptly after the completion of the maintenance.
