A tragic incident in the Oshodi area of Lagos State has resulted in the death of a 50-year-old man named Emmanuel, who was struck and killed by a train.
The accident took place on Saturday near the Arena Shopping Mall. Benjamin Hundeyin, spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, confirmed the details in a statement on Sunday.
According to Hundeyin, the Mosafejo Division was alerted to the incident at approximately 1:33 PM on Saturday, prompting an immediate response from a police team dispatched to the scene.
“A group of detectives visited the location to document the incident,” Hundeyin stated. The deceased has been taken to a public morgue for an autopsy.
Additionally, the case has been handed over to the Railway Police Command in Ebute Metta for a more in-depth investigation.
